The Planner of the Day is a service provided by the City of Chesterfield where a Planner is available for questions or information requests throughout the day Monday thru Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Planner of the Day can be reached at 636-537-4733 or pod@chesterfield.mo.us. 

The Planner of the Day answers most typical development and planning related questions such as:
  • What are my building setbacks?
  • I received a public hearing notice, what are the details of the project?
  • I noticed some construction and would like to know what the plans are for this property.
  • What is the process for getting a building permit?

Please note, the Planner of the Day is able to provide answers to general development and planning related questions. However, in the case of new development or redevelopment of a site, it is best to schedule a Pre-Application Meeting. A Zoning Verification letter can be requested by sending the request to the "Planner of the Day". The Planner of the Day will then do the research and send a letter in response to the submitter with the requested information.
