Bob Nation

Mayor Bob Nation was sworn in for a four year term on April 17, 2013 and was reelected to a second four year term in April 2017. He was first elected as a councilmember in Ward IV in 2007, having previously served as a Trustee for Wildhorse Subdivision, and having resided in Chesterfield since 1980. He had also served as the Treasurer for Citizens for Responsible Growth and participated with several citizens groups regarding various zoning petitions. As a Councilmember, he served on the Planning and Public Works Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, Finance & Administration Committee, and the Public Health and Safety Committee.

Mayor Nation obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Arizona and did some graduate coursework at the University of Colorado 1976-1977.  He retired as a Captain with American Airlines in 2006, after a 27 year career in aviation. He also worked with Ozark Airlines and Trans World Airlines. Mr. Nation is a former military aviator and retired Lieutenant Colonel (USAR). Since retiring, he did some volunteer flying for Wings of Hope and also was able to participate in a medical mission with his wife, Louise, to Peru. He also holds an active Real Estate Broker license.

Mayor Nation is married to Louise and they have three married sons (Rob, Andy, & Chris) and six grandchildren.
