West County Youth Police Academy
West County Youth Police Academy is a new program which teaches 7 to 11-year-olds about a wide variety of policing topics. These topics include; Traffic enforcement, DWI investigation, Crime Scene Investigations, Drone Demonstration, Police Vehicles, Fingerprint Demonstration, Police Weapon Education, K9 Meet and Greet, Police Physical Agility Test and a SWAT demonstration. The program includes classroom activities, as well as hands-on activities both outside and inside. The West County Youth Police Academy will be held at The Commons, 14885 Clayton Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
The program will be hosted and staffed by Chesterfield Police Department, Town & County Police Department, Ellisville Police Department, Ballwin Police Department, Eureka Police Department and St. Louis County Police Department. The program will be conducted for one week, June 16 through 20, 2025. A morning session will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and an afternoon session will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Registration for students will begin on March 12, 2025, at 8 a.m. online.
