There are very few areas in Chesterfield that allow hunting. Individuals can hunt, with written permission of the land owner, in the area located north of the Chesterfield Agricultural Levee north of Highway 40 and west of the Monarch Levee south of Highway 40 but only during the State designated hunting seasons.

Individuals may hunt on lots of ten (10) acres or more and may archery hunt on (.5) acres or more, located within the City limits of the City of Chesterfield but then only with written permission of the land owner and only during the State designated hunting seasons.  Please see below attached form for more information on land size regulations.

The following restrictions apply to all circumstances where hunting is allowed in Chesterfield:
It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge a firearm or a projectile weapon within one hundred fifty (150) yards toward or within range of any person, vehicle, dwelling, home, apartment, church, school or other building, park, recreational area or any assemblages of people or to fire in such direction that any projectile or projectiles expelled strikes, hits, enters or goes through any such area.

It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any firearm or projectile weapon from or across any street, sidewalk, road, highway, or any park, except on a target, trap, skeet or practice range, or as otherwise approved by permit issued by the Chief of Police or his designee.

It shall also be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any firearm expelling a single solid projectile or use a projectile weapon from any boat or other water vessel, or across or into the Missouri River or any lake, reservoir or retention basin.
