The entertainment plaza in the F Quad concession stand pavilion at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex is the perfect place to enjoy a break from the heat and stay cool, while watching your kids play ball or enjoying a glimpse of a Cardinals game. The plaza is 28.5 feet x 23.5 feet and includes six stand up tables, two ceiling fans, a 55-inch television and wraparound stone countertops with tongue and groove siding. There is an unobstructed view of the F3 and F4 baseball fields too.
The Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Department received a Municipal Parks Grant to resurface the playground at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex. The resurfacing replaced an engineered wood mulch material that required regular replenishment, inspection and maintenance. While it met all safety standards, it was difficult for users with any physical limitations and was also difficult for parents with wheeled strollers.
The new playground has a rubberized surface that replaced the existing mulch from the entire playground encompassed by the concrete border. The rubberized playground is cleaner, provides easier accessibility and is a better playing experience for all children, eliminating trip hazards caused by mulch for children with walkers and wheelchairs and offers better year round use. A new concrete border was replaced as well.
