CAPRA Accreditation

The Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Department was honored to achieve re-accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) with a rare perfect score in 2023. Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Department has become one of only 192 park and recreation agencies accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), and only one of five Parks and Recreation agency in the state of Missouri.  The Commission of Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) is the only national accredtation for park and recreation agencies, and is a measure of an agency's overall quality of opearation, management and service to the community. This mark of distinction indicates that an agency has met rigorous standards related to the management and administration of lands, facilities, reources, programs, safety and services.  The Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Department received their first accreditation from CAPRA in 2011, and again in 2017.
