City of Chesterfield Fireworks Celebration Weather Update

CHESTERFIELD, Mo., July 3, 2024. — The City of Chesterfield’s annual Fireworks Celebration, scheduled for tomorrow evening, July 4, at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, may be altered or delayed due to the threat of inclement weather.

The event is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and features live entertainment by Fat Pocket, food trucks, performances by Circus Kaput, face painting, and more, followed by the fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the City is prepared to adjust the schedule in one of two ways:

  • Fireworks only at 9 p.m.: In the event of rain with no severe storms, the pre-fireworks show activities will be canceled, and the fireworks portion of the event will run as scheduled beginning at 9 p.m.
  • Postponement to July 5: If the weather is not conducive to any activities due to severe weather threats in the area, the Fireworks Celebration will be postponed to Friday, July 5, at 9 p.m.

The safety and enjoyment of our attendees is our top priority. We encourage all attendees to check our Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Facebook page for live updates regarding the event status throughout tomorrow.
