National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week is a time to recognize the dedication and hard work of public works professionals in improving the quality of life in their communities. This year's theme, "Connecting the World Through Public Works," highlights the crucial role that public works play in connecting people, communities, and economies.

The City of Chesterfield's Internationally Accredited Department of Public Works is organized into four operating areas: Engineering, Street Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, and Building Maintenance. The Department is responsible for the maintenance of the city's 183 miles of public roads, 260 miles of public sidewalks, over 18,000 street trees, along with the city's buildings, vehicles, and equipment. Our Public Works Department strives to collaborate closely with the community and maintain and improve our infrastructure and services. Please join communities around the country this week and take time to honor the remarkable efforts of public works personnel!
