The City will be performing maintenance work on the Wildhorse Parkway Drive bridge deck. The bridge is located on Wildhorse Parkway Drive over Bonhomme Creek, approximately 320 feet south of Bridgeway Drive. The maintenance work consists of partial removal of the bridge deck and replacement with latex modified concrete, removal and replacement of the concrete approach slabs on each side of the bridge, and sealing of the sidewalk and barrier wall on the bridge. During construction it will be necessary to restrict traffic on the bridge to one lane. Temporary signals will be utilized to control traffic while the one lane restriction is in place.
If you have any questions about the project, please contact Jeff Paskiewicz at email@example.com or at 636-537-4759.
09-02-2021 - The second bridge deck pour will begin in the evening of September 2, 2021 and extend into the early hours of September 3, 2021.
08-26-2021 - Starting at 4:00 a.m. on Monday August 30, 2021 traffic will be switched over to the eastern side of the bridge and work will begin and the western side of the bridge. The transition of traffic will begin early on Monday in order minimize the impact to motorists with the switch being completed before the morning rush.
08-09-2021: - Due to temperature requirements for the latex modified concrete, the first deck pour will occur at night. The pour will start on the evening of August 11, 2021 and extend into the early hours of August, 12, 2021.
07-26-2021: - Construction began. One lane restriction and temporary traffic signals in place.
07-12-2021 - Construction is scheduled to begin on July 26, 2021. Notification letters were sent to all properties located south of the bridge. In order to perform the maintenance work in the safest and most efficient manner, it will be necessary to restrict traffic on the bridge to one lane. In order to accomplish this, temporary traffic signals will be set up on the north and south ends of the bridge. In order to provide notification to motorist, changeable message boards will be placed in the area of the bridge one week prior to the restriction being implemented. It is anticipated that the one lane restriction will be in place for approximately 60 days. The bridge is the single ingress/egress point for the 595 properties that are located south of the bridge, so please plan for the delays that will occur due to the one lane restriction and exercise caution while traveling through the work zone. Due to the temperature placement requirements for latex modified concrete, it may be necessary for the placement of the concrete to occur at night when the temperatures are lower. The majority of the work will occur during the day, with concrete placement occurring at night when necessary due to the temperature.
