The Chesterfield Earth Day Festival is celebrating its 29th anniversary this year! This event offers a convenient recycling drive-thru and information exhibits! The Chesterfield Citizens Committee for the Environment will host this FREE community event for all ages to enjoy! Most items are free of charge, but certain fees may apply to TVs. Items that are not accepted include thermostats, smoke detectors and alkaline batteries.
The popular recycling drive-thru takes place on the old Sears building parking lot from 9 a.m. to Noon. Limited capacity exists for most vendors, so first-come/first-served. The following items are being accepted:
-Unused/expired prescriptions, no sticks or inhalers
-Electronics & small appliances (additional charge may apply )
crt tvs 26” & smaller $30 each
crt tvs 27” & larger $50 each
console/REAR PROJECTION $50 each
FLAT SCREEN/led/lcd/plasma tvs $20 each
crt monitors $ 5 each
any freon device $10 each
-Tools/hardware, furniture/home décor, non-fluorescent lighting
-New/used clothing, linens, blankets, towels, belts, shoes, purses
-Clean, folded fabric, yarn, sewing tools, sewing machines
-New and gently used office, art, and school supplies, books
- Screw drivers, hammers, pliers, measuring tapes, clamps, wire cutters, wrenches and ratchet sets, open ended wrenches, small saws
No glass, batteries, paint or chemicals. Items that are damaged, incomplete or hazardous will not be accepted.
CAPACITY IS LIMITED. FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE.
