Missouri River Conditions at Chesterfield

June 19, 2015

In conformance with the CIty of Chesterfield's Valley Watch policy, City officials are monitoring and reporting on river conditions adjacent to the Chesterfield Valley.  The river gauges at both Hermann and St. Charles were re-visited this afternoon and forecasts were published by the National Weather Service.

The Hermann gauge read 29.64, slightly down from the predicted crest of 29.67 earlier today.  I

The St. Charles Gauge read 31.48 and is expected to crest at 32.4 sometime on Saturday.  These are nominal changes from this morning.

At these levels, riverine flooding is not anticipated for the Chesterfield Valley.   In fact, at these levels the agricultural levee north of the main levee in Chesterfield is not expected to overtop.
